Wallpaper
View from Emily Carr Institute
Today was final critique day for GEVA 410 Senior Studio with Julie York and John Wertschek. It was a great day, everyone offered sincerity and we made some interesting revealations in our art all together.
The first image is Juliana Greaves with her work (chatting with ceramic history professor Amy Gogaraty).
The succeeding images follow into the classroom and is work by Marianne Chenard.
I am also including a shot I took out the window looking outside at the beautiful sky. The view is looking east, north east over false creek in the direction of the downtown eastside. The 'downtown eastside' is such a buzz term around this city. I think of that part of the city the most.
this fantastic Concourse Gallery Show
The Multiples Show: 4, 6, 12 opened at Emily Carr this past tuesday night. The show looks really fantastic! Heather Verdin and Kim Hoang (both alberta-born, both awesome artists!) were really thoughtful in the curation. It is an excellent example of the multi-disciplinary art-making that is happening all over the school.
I will provide some more images soon, for now this is what the show looks like from the street and inside the foyer.
The large 8' x 10' red wall installation is a term project by Marissa Olson and is titled "His Guts are Telling his Brain"
